CLINTON, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team topped Mississippi College 3-2 (25-16, 26-28, 16-25, 25-21, 15-13) on Thursday night on the road Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 14-15 (8-7 GSC), while MC slides to 22-6 (11-4 GSC).

Senior
Ally Kennis had a strong all-around performance in the victory with a team-high 12 kills to go along with a .357 hitting percentage, seven digs, three assists and three total blocks.

Kennis was tied for the team lead in kills with
Caroline Moyer who also had 12 successful swats, followed by
Kiara Hill with 10 kills and a team-leading .364 hitting percentage.

Savannah Rutledge guided the offense with a season-high 42 assists while also adding a roster-best four service aces and nine digs.

A total of five Chargers had seven digs or more, led by
Tatiana Bonilla's team-high 12 scoops.
Hailey Holshouser rated second on the squad with 10 digs.

UAH started off with a 25-16 win in the opening frame, thanks to a six-point run midway through the set.

Mississippi College outlasted UAH 28-26 to even the match in the second, before the Choctaws went ahead in the third on a 25-16 win in the stanza.

The Chargers comeback started with a 25-21 win in the fourth, before winning the deciding fifth set 15-13 after scoring four of the final six points in the frame.

UAH had a team hitting percentage of .229, while holding MC to a .199 swing rate.
