CLINTON, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team fell to Mississippi College by a final score of 51-43 on Sunday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slips to 3-7 (3-4 GSC), while MC improves to 3-8 (2-6 GSC).

Haley Nichols led the Chargers in the Sunday road matchup with 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting to go along with nine rebounds, two assists and one steal. Nichols has recorded 18 or more points in three games so far this season.

Madie Krieger rated second on the UAH roster with 11 points, going 5-for-8 from the floor and 1-for-1 on three-pointers. Krieger additionally tied with
Andie Flatgard in minutes played with 38 apiece against the Choctaws.

Bella Machen pulled down a season-high seven rebounds over 20 minutes on the court to help the Chargers outrebound the Choctaws 31-30 on Sunday.

The Chargers ended the first quarter in front 17-15 over the Choctaws, as Nichols poured in 10 of her 18 points on the night in the opening frame.

Mississippi College pulled ahead with an 11-8 advantage in the second quarter to hold a slim 26-25 lead over UAH at halftime.

Both teams scored 12 points in the third quarter to keep it at a one-point game at 38-37 entering the final stanza, but the Choctaws pulled away in the fourth to claim a 51-43 win on Sunday.
