CARROLLTON, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team fell on the road at West Georgia by a final score of 58-37 on Thursday evening in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slips to 3-8 (3-5 GSC), while UWG improves to 4-6 (3-4 GSC).

The Chargers were led by
Haley Nichols in the road matchup with 10 points and five rebounds as she went 4-for-7 from the field over 27 minutes on the floor.

Ellen Fleming tied with Nichols for the team lead in scoring with 10 points as well, with six of her four points coming on her 2-for-4 performance beyond the arc.

Andie Flatgard generated ateam-high eight rebounds while also playing the most minutes of the contest at 38. Fellow freshman
Madie Krieger rated second on the team with 36 minutes of action.

After West Georgia took a 24-11 lead into halftime, UAH's offense had its best performance of the night in the third quarter with 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting to cut UWG's advantage to 39-28 entering the fourth.

The Wolves maintained their advantage through the fourth quarter to win the contest 58-37 on Thursday.
