PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team wrapped up play at the Peachtree City Classic with a 9-0 win over Morehead on Sunday afternoon at Home Plate Field. UAH improves to 3-4, while MC slides to 0-4.

The Chargers offense was led by
Daniel McCary and
Brennan Vasquez with two base hits and one RBI apiece.
Garrett Bodine had a strong day in the lead-off spot going 1-for-2 with three walks, one hit by pitch and two steals.

Connor Brooks started on the mound for UAH, with the right-hander allowing just one base hit across 5.0 innings of work to go along with seven strikeouts. He improves to 1-0 with the win.

Will Hotalen and
Sam Sertell combined for 4.0 scoreless innings out of the bullpen to finish the gay.

UAH opened up the contest with one run in the bottom of the first as
Garrett Bodine scored from third on an error by Morehouse.

The Chargers would strike for four runs in the bottom of the fourth, followed by two more in the fifth to push the lead to 7-0. UAH went on to score once in the seventh and twice in the eighth to bring the game to its final score of 10-0.

UAH looks ahead to a nonconference home game on Wednesday at Charger Park at 2 p.m against nationally-ranked Trevecca Nazarene
