HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team dropped a nonconference matchup at Charger Park to Tusculum by a final score of 12-10 on a soggy Saturday afternoon. UAH slips to 3-3, while TU improves to 6-0.

The Chargers offense was led by
Brody Phillips overall with four points on three goals and one assist, and he was tied by
Jake Schramm for the team lead in goals with three markers as well.

Bryce Ferraro chipped in three points from two goals and one assist, with
Josh Campbell also notching a multi-point performance with one goal and one assist.

Zak Welsh played the full time in goal for the Chargers, as he posted eight saves while allowing 12 goals in the contest.

Joseph Stuber posted a team-high seven ground balls, as a total of five Chargers had two or more pickups each.

The two teams were locked in a defensive battle in the first quarter with one goal for each side through 15 minutes. UAH gained a 3-2 lead with three tallies in the second quarter while limiting Tusculum to two goals.

After two early goals in the third period by UAH, Tusculum would end the frame on a 5-1 run to overtake the Blue & White with an 8-7 advantage. The Pioneers went on to outpace the Chargers 4-3 in the fourth quarter to win the contest 12-10 on Saturday.

UAH looks ahead to a March 13 matchup at Maryville in St. Louis, Missouri.
