ALBERTVILLE, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team split a Gulf South Conference doubleheader against Union on Sunday with the Bulldogs winning game one 4-0 before the Chargers took the second 6-5. UAH moves to 6-8 (2-3 GSC), while UU is now 6-6 (2-3 GSC).

The Bulldogs took the series-opener as Union's pitching staff combined for the shutout and four hits allowed to top the Chargers 4-0 on Sunday.

Carson Villalta each notched a double in game one of the doubleheader to lead the offense.

Kody Keiser started on the mound for the Chargers, working 6.0 innings with two earned runs allowed, zero walks and four strikeouts. His record drops to 0-2 in 2022.

The Chargers wrapped up the GSC doubleheader with a 6-4 win over the Bulldogs, as
Jeff Hunter led the UAH offense overall in the game, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

Bodine drew a team-high three walks and scored two runs out of the lead-off spot.

Connor Brooks made the start on the mound in game two, as he tossed 6.0 innings with five runs allowed, zero walks and four strikeouts. His record improves to 2-1 with the win.
