BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly women's track & field award winners, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Krystalynn Oatman as GSC Track Athlete of the Week and Jordan Bailey as GSC Freshman of the Week.
 
Oatman was a member of the Chargers 100-meter relay team that topped the NCAA provisional mark in with a fifth-place time of 46.61 as the team now ranks 15th nationally in the event. She additionally posted a 19th-place time of 12.06 in the 100-meter dash.
 
Bailey became one of three GSC athletes to top the NCAA provisional mark in the triple jump this season, as she went for 11.96 meters to place eighth at the War Eagle Invitational. She now ranks 23rd nationally in the triple jump.
 
UAH looks ahead to competing at the Georgia Tech Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
