PENSACOLA, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at West Florida by scores of 14-7 and 2-0 on Saturday afternoon to open a three-game Gulf South Conference series. UAH slips to 16-21 (8-11 GSC), while UWF improves to 19-13 (14-6 GSC).

West Florida scored at least one run in each of the first four innings to guide the Argonauts to the 14-7 victory in game one on Saturday.

Carson Villalta drove in a team-high three runs in a 1-for-3 day at the plate, while
Garrett Bodine and
Jackson Lindsey led the Chargers in hits with two apiece. One of Bodine's two hits was a solo home run in the ninth, while Villalta's lone hit went for a double.

Wells Deloney started on the mound for the Chargers, turning in 1.2 innings with four earned runs allowed. His record dips to 1-1 with the loss.

Brooks Tolbert led all UAH relievers in the game with 2.0 scoreless innings with one hit allowed and two strikeouts.

UAH ended game two on the losing end of a pitchers' duel on Saturday, as the hosts scored one run apiece in the third and sixth inning on the way to their 2-0 win in the night cap.

Tyler Self kept the Chargers within striking distance in his start on the mound, allowing two runs across 6.0 innings with zero walks and eight strikeouts. His record slips to 3-5 this season.
