HUNTSVILLE | The NCAA Division II Softball Committee announced the field off 64 for the upcoming NCAA Division II Softball Tournament, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville kept its impressive streak intact, reaching the national postseason for a 19th consecutive season.
 
The 19 straight tournaments is the longest active streak in Division II, and it is the third longest in Division II history. The Chargers will be making its 24th appearance in the 26 times the tournament has been held in UAH's 27-year history.
 
UAH will be the No. 5 seed and take on No. 4 seed Nova Southeastern at the NCAA South 1 Regional, while the No. 1 seed and host is Auburn Montgomery who will take on eighth-seeded Tuskegee.
 
The contest between the Chargers and NSU to start the tournament is set for 1 p.m. on Thursday on the AUM campus. 
 
In Florida, the. No. 2 seed Tampa will host No. 3 seed Valdosta State, No. 6 seed Rollins, and No. 7 seed Embry-Riddle.
 
Following the conclusion of the two double elimination tournaments, the two winners will face next week in the South Super Regional to determine the South's representative at the 2022 NCAA Division II Softball National Championship.
