PENSACOLA, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team dropped a Friday night matchup at No. 14 West Florida by a score of 3-1 (20-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-17) in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slides to 6-10 (2-3 GSC), while UWF improves to 13-4 (5-1 GSC).

Gracie McGee guided the Chargers offense with 13 kills to go along with three assists and seven digs in a strong all-around performance. McGee has now recorded 10 or more kills in five consecutive matches.

Paris Morris also had a strong attacking night with a team-high .250 hitting percentage on nine kills which rated second on the squad on Friday.

Shayla Libby anchored the defense with 16 digs against the Argonauts, followed by
Tatiana Bonilla and McGee with seven scoops apiece. In total, five Chargers had five digs or more.

Colby Charland helped guide the Chargers offense with a team-high 22 assists, with
Savannah Rutledge ranking second on the squad with 11 helpers.

West Florida opened the contest with a 25-20 win over UAH, but the Chargers rebounded to take the second 25-22 as the squad scored six of the final eight points of the frame. UAH additionally had a match-best .419 hitting percentage with 16 kills in the second.

The Argos would go on to win the ensuing two frames by scores of 25-17 to capture the four-set win over the Chargers.
