BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference unveiled its weekly men's cross country honorees, and UAH was represented by Sam Wilhelm as GSC Runner of the Week and Noah George as GSC Freshman of the Week.
 
This is the second time this season Wilhelm and George have swept the conference's weekly awards, as Wilhelm also collects his fourth career GSC Runner of the Week award.
 
Wilhelm had a dazzling running performance at the UAH Chargers Invitational at John Hunt Park on Saturday, completing the 8k course first overall in a field of 439 runners with a time of 24:01.7.
 
George also had a strong day on the course to help the Chargers to third in the team standings with a 43rd-place time of 25:11.2. He was the seventh-highest placing freshman in the race as well.
 
UAH looks ahead to the 2023 Gulf South Conference Cross Country Championships at John Hunt Park on Saturday, Oct. 21.
