Volleyball Drops First Match of South Region Crossover

HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team dropped their first match of the South Region Crossover against a Sunshine State Conference opponent Lynn on Friday evening 3-0 (24-26, 22-25, 27-29). 

The Chargers dropped to 12-6 with the loss, snapping a three match win streak. The Fighting Knights improved to 14-6 overall.

Autumn Mayes led UAH in kills for the match, posting nine while also corralling 10 digs. Tatiana Bonilla led the team in digs with 16 in her return to the court.

Six different Chargers made blocks in the match as they outpaced the Fighting Knights 8-3 in the category. Kiara Hill had three denials and Caroline Moyer provided 1.5 for the second highest total on the team.

The Chargers resume action at the South Region Crossover as they face off with two opponents tomorrow, an 11:15 a.m. match against Embry-Riddle and a 6 p.m. contest with Eckerd.
