HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's soccer team picked up an important Gulf South Conference win over visiting West Alabama, 2-0 on Friday night in front of the home fans at Charger Park. The Chargers improve to 7-5-2 (5-4-2 GSC) while UWA slips to 5-8-2 (5-5-1 GSC).

Carmen Endicott continued her good form in front of goal, scoring her third goal in three games, in the 11
thminute of action to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead that they would carry into the halftime break.

The second half would stay 1-0 in favor of the hosts until the 84
th minute when Endicott turned into a provider to set up
Jayla Gillespie's seventh goal of the year and give the Chargers a 2-0 victory over the Tigers.

CeCe Szopa collects her first shutout on the year in goal making four saves for the Chargers and her season record now stands at 5-4-2.

West Alabama outshot the Chargers 8-6 on the night and shots on goal were even at four apiece.

UAH turns its attention to Sunday when it will host Tampa at Charger Park for a Senior Day kickoff at 11 a.m.
