HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team won their sixth consecutive Gulf South Conference match of the season as they defeated Lee in an exciting five set match 3-2 (27-29, 25-18, 20-25, 25-21, 19-17).

The Chargers improved to 15-8 (11-2 GSC) with the victory as the Flames dropped to 15-13 (6-7 GSC). The win is the thirteenth straight home win for UAH dating back to last season and avenged a 3-1 loss on the road against Lee earlier this season.

Four Chargers had 12 or more kills in the match as Caroline Moyer led the way with 17 on a .192 attack percentage. Autumn Mayes had 15 kills, including the match-clinching point, while Kiara Hill had 14 kills on a stellar .565 attack percentage. Zoe Smith contributed 12 kills to the winning effort for UAH.

Savannah Rutledge had 52 assists in the match, tying her season high in the category to lead the Chargers.

Mary Grace Bundrant posted six blocks in the match to highlight the Charger defense and pushed her over 100 blocks for the season.

The Chargers will host Senior Night on Friday before their final home match of the regular season against Montevallo at 6 pm.
