Volleyball Falls to No. 15 West Florida on the Road in Four Sets

PENSACOLA, Fla. | The UAH volleyball team dropped a road Gulf South Conference matchup against No. 15 West Florida on Friday evening in four sets (10-25, 25-23, 23-25, 14-25). The Chargers fell to 9-5 (5-2 GSC), while the Argos improved to 12-4 (7-0 GSC).

Three Chargers recorded nine kills in the match, as Caroline Moyer, Autumn Mayes, and Zoe Smith hit the mark. Mayes also contributed a service ace to the UAH cause.

Savannah Rutledge gave the Chargers a boost at the setter spot, racking up 30 assists and two block assists to go along with a pair of kills. 

Kiara Hill highlighted the UAH defense, totaling 4.5 blocks in the match, including seven block assists. 

The Argos ran away with the first set as UAH failed to find their footing in a 25-10 loss. In the second set, the Chargers were resilient on their way to a 25-23 victory with four blocks in the set. 
 
The Argos took the final two sets 25-23 and 25-14 to seal the victory and remained unbeaten in GSC play this season.
 
UAH returns to action tomorrow in Montgomery, Alabama, when they take on Auburn Montgomery at 2 p.m.
