HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's and women's cross country teams hosted the UAH Chargers Invitational at John Hunt Park on Saturday morning with the men's team earning third overall and the women's squad finishing 13th.

Junior
Sam Wilhelm had a dominant performance in the men's 8k race with a first-place time of 24:01.70 in a field of 439 runners to lead the Chargers to third in the team standings, while
Emily McMurry led UAH in the women's 5k with a 13th-place time of 17:57.90 in a field of 356 competitors.

On the men's side, UAH notched three more runners in the top 25 including
Nate Pohlsander (17th, 24:43.7),
Jack Elliott (22nd, 24:48.7), and
Nathan Knox (24th, 24:50.6).

The Chargers women's squad featured two additional runners in the top 100 on Saturday morning including
Amelia Brady (36th, 18:23.5) and
Aylin Vega (93rd, 19:20.7).

UAH looks ahead to the 2023 Gulf South Conference Championships at John Hunt Park on Saturday, Oct. 21 to start the postseason calendar.
