HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's soccer team was edged by a final score of 1-0 at Union on Sunday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slides to 5-4-2 (3-23-2 GSC), while UU improves to 5-5-1 (4-3-0 GSC).

The game's lone goal came in the third minute of Sunday afternoon's contest with Union's Sophie Walsh scoring the game-winner.

Both teams generated a bevy of chances with a combined total of 25 shots on goal, including 12 shots on target by the Chargers led by
Jayla Gillespie with four.

CeCe Szopa collected a season-high 10 saves in the matchup to give her a total of 36 stops in her freshman campaign.

UAH returns home next weekend to start a four-match homestand with matchups slated against Delta State Friday and Mississippi College Sunday.
