JOPLIN, Mo. | The UAH men's cross country team is set to compete at the 2023 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on Saturday at 11:15 a.m.

This is the fourth consecutive Nationals the Chargers have competed at, as the program boasts nine all-time appearances at the NCAA Division II Championship after earning an at-large berth.
 
The Chargers were amongst the USTFCCCA national rankings throughout the 2023 campaign, which helped program to the at-large berth after finishing fourth in the team standings at the NCAA Division II South Region Championships on Nov. 4 in Montevallo, Alabama.
 
UAH was led by a pair of All-South Region performers at the regional, including Sam Wilhelm and Nathan Knox who both placed in the top 15. Wilhelm – the Gulf South Conference Individual Champion – led the way for UAH in third followed by Knox in 12th.
 
Last season, UAH finished 27th out of 34 competing squads at Nationals with Wilhelm pacing the Blue & White with a 51st-place time of 30:45.6. The program's highest team finish was 12th overall in the 2021 campaign.
 
Nationals will be held on Saturday at Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Missouri. Missouri Southern State University serves as the host, with the women's race beginning at 10 a.m. CT, followed by the men's race at 11:15 a.m. CT.
