HUNTSVILLE | The College Sports Communicators announced their 2023 Men's Soccer and Women's Soccer Academic All-District Teams, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by a combined total of nine CSC Academic All-District honorees.
 
UAH's honorees represent District V which is comprised of schools from the NCAA Division II South Region.
 
The Chargers men's soccer program notched four Academic All-District performers in Jose Bannwart, Harvey Hewson, Colby Nesbit, and Cameron Strachan.
 
Women's soccer was represented by five honorees including Laura Hasani, Maialen Mera Torres, Hadas Morin, Hannah Szopa, and Mollie Valek.
 
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs.
