Women’s Basketball Takes Down Hawks on the Road, 65-54

ROME, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team won its second conference game with a 65-54 victory at Shorter on Sunday afternoon. UAH rises to 3-5 (2-3 GSC), while SU slides to 1-9 (0-6 GSC).
 
Jesse Jennings led the Chargers in the victory with a team-high 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field. Jennings has now recorded seven double-digit scoring performances this season and she leads UAH on the year with 15.1 points per game.
 
Freshman Bella White rated second on the squad with 12 points, followed by Bellah Machen's 11 points on the day, while Haelim Adle rounded out the double figures scorers with a 10-point afternoon.
 
White and Adle each logged a roster-leading seven rebounds to go along with their solid offensive outings.
 
The Chargers shot 49.1 percent from the floor throughout the contest and grabbed 31 rebounds compared to 21 for the hosts.
 
UAH will return to the Rocket City to host two home contests with a visit from Delta State on Friday followed by a clash with Mississippi College on Sunday, December 17th to close out the weekend.
