HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team secured a come-from-behind 71-64 victory over Delta State on Friday night at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 7-3 (5-1 GSC), while DSU slides to 7-3 (5-2 GSC).

UAH is now on a three-game winning streak with Friday's victory.

The Chargers offense was led by the duo of
Luke Burnett and
Tommy Murr who each posted 15 points in the victory. The pair combined to go 10-for-18 from the field and 4-of-8 on three-pointers.

Both Burnett and Murr have posted 10 or more points in nine of the Chargers 10 games so far in 2023-24.

Jack Kostel had another strong all-around performance with 11 points, a team-high eight rebounds, four assists and one steal against the Statesmen. He has now recorded eight or more rebounds in three of the past four games.

Overall, head coach
John Shulman saw a total of five members of the squad score into double-digits, including Burnett (15), Murr (15), Kostel (11),
Dane Harding (10) and
Daniel Saylor (10).

Harding additionally notched a team-best five assists on Friday night.

UAH shot 57.4 percent (27-47) from the field and 42.9 percent (6-14) on three-pointers, while outpacing DSU in rebounds (32-30), bench points (16-3), and points in the paint (42-24).

The Chargers look ahead to the weekend finale on Sunday at 4 p.m. with a visit from Mississippi College to Spragins Hall.
