Men's Basketball Topples Mississippi College 81-63 at Spragins Hall

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team cruised to an 81-63 victory over Mississippi College on Sunday night in a Gulf South Conference matchup at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. UAH improves to 8-3 (6-1 GSC), while MC slides to 5-6 (4-4 GSC).
 
The Chargers have now won four straight and six of their last seven games.

Junior Jack Kostel had a double-double performance in the rout of Mississippi College with a 16-point game to go along with 10 rebounds and two assists. He went 6-of-9 from the floor and 3-for-5 from the free throw line while only turning the ball over once.
 
Tommy Murr also had a strong night, nearly recording his own double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Murr has scored 15 or more points in every contest but one this season.

Luke Burnett would round out the double-digit scorers for the home team with a 12-point outing.
 
UAH shot 47.5 percent from the field (28-59) while holding MC to just a 35.4 shooting performance on the night.
 
UAH additionally held the edge over MC in rebounds (44-36), points in the paint (36-14), and second-chance points (14-9).
 
The Chargers will now enter the holiday break before returning to Spragins Hall on Saturday, December 30th for a matchup with West Georgia. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
