HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team knocked off No. 13 West Georgia by a final score of 93-82 on Saturday afternoon at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall in Gulf South Conference action for head coach
John Shulman's 100th career victory with the Chargers. UAH improves to 9-3 (7-1 GSC), while UWG slides to 9-2 (5-2 GSC).

Shulman becomes the third head coach in UAH men's basketball history to reach the 100-win milestone, as he now boasts a career record of 100-31 at the helm of the Chargers.

UAH's offense was guided by
Tommy Murr and Luke Barnett with 22 points and 21 points, respectively, with both playing 35 minutes in the contest. Murr went 6-for-12 from the floor and 10-of-11 on free throws to help guide the Chargers to the overtime victory.

Daniel Saylor pulled down a team-best eight rebounds, while going 4-for-6 from the field for eight points on the day.

Isaac Chatman gave the Chargers three players with 10 or more points in the victory, thanks to a 3-for-4 showing from three-point land.

Dane Harding dished out a roster-leading six assists, as he also had a strong all-around game with five rebounds and nine points. Murr rated second on the UAH offense with five assists to go along with his six rebounds.

Overall in the contest, UAH shot 45.2 percent (28-62) from the field and 37.9 percent (11-29) on three-pointers. The Chargers held the edge over the Wolves in bench points (30-9) and points in the paint (32-30).

This was UAH's first overtime victory since Feb. 12, 2022, which was a 71-67 win over Lee.

The Chargers are back in action in the New Year starting with a trip to Christian Brothers on Saturday, Jan. 6 for a 3 p.m. contest.
