HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team dropped a Gulf South Conference matchup to West Alabama at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall by a final score of 85-69 on Sunday afternoon. UAH slides to 4-3 (2-1 GSC), while UWA improves to 6-1 (3-0 GSC).

Tommy Murr led the way for the Chargers offense in the Sunday contest with 20 points, as his scoring was buoyed by a perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line. He also added two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 29 minutes.

UAH had a total of three players in double-figure scoring, with
Luke Burnett and
Jack Kostel joining Murr with 12 points and 10 points, respectively.

Kostel notched his first career double-double with 10 rebounds to go along with his 10 points, while also leading the team with four assists.

Overall on Sunday, the Chargers shot 40.0 percent (20-50) and 29.6 percent (8-27) on three-pointers. UAH held the edge over UWA in bench points (22-4) and fast-break points (7-4).

UAH hits the road for two GSC contests next weekend with games at Lee on Friday and Shorter on Sunday.
