ST. LEO, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team topped Saint Leo by a final score of 9-8 in 10 innings on Friday evening on the road in nonconference action. UAH improves to 1-1, while SLU slides to 1-1.
 
The Chargers registered 12 base hits in the win, led by Landon Ezzell with a 4-for-6 performance with two runs and two RBI. One of Ezzell's four base hits was a solo shot in the ninth.
 
Mitchell Rottier scored a team-best three runs in four trips to the plate, while both Garrett Bodine and Brock Butler notched two-hit performances. Bodine has now registered at least one base hit in 35 consecutive games.
 
Andrea Orselli started on the mound for UAH, turning in 4.0 innings with three runs allowed and three strikeouts for a no-decision.
 
Will Griffith earned the win in relief, as he tossed the last 2.1 innings with two runs allowed and two strikeouts.
