HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team won its second game of the homestand with a resounding 74-49 victory over visiting Mississippi College on Saturday afternoon at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 7-16 (7-12 GSC), while MC slides to 5-18 (4-16 GSC).

Alaina Taylor had a career-best performance to lead the Chargers offense on Thursday with a team-high 25 points as she went 7-for-12 on three-pointers and a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. Taylor additionally tied for the team lead with two steals.

She has now scored 10 or more points in seven of the past eight games to raise her season scoring average to 8.3.

Taylor was joined in double figures by
Haelim Adle and Bella Machen with 11 points and 12 points, respectively. Adle nearly recorded a double-double in the win with a team-high eight rebounds, with Machen tying for second on the squad with five boards.

Madie Krieger helped guide the Chargers offense with a team-high five assists while turning the ball over only once.

The Chargers excelled from beyond the arc against the Choctaws, putting up a 47.8 three-point percentage (11-23) for the contest.

UAH additionally held the edge over MC in points off turnovers (12-9), second-chance points (10-4), bench points (27-13) and fast-break points (9-2). The Blue & White's 74-point performance is a season-best for head coach
