HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team dropped an extra-innings game to visiting Young Harris 10-6 in a non-conference matchup at Charger Park on Tuesday afternoon. UAH is now 9-11 overall on the year, while Young Harris improved to 14-6.
Carson Villalta led the way offensively for the Chargers as he went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBI. The junior kicked off the UAH scoring for the game with a sacrifice fly in the first inning.
Cole Loftis led the way for the Charger pitching staff, throwing three scoreless innings with two strikeouts.
Will Griffith,
Trey Wright, and
Cory Hagood also contributed scoreless innings, pitching one apiece.
UAH returns to action this weekend when they host West Florida for a three-game series starting on Friday at 5 p.m.
