Kickoff to the 2023 Season on Thursday for Women's Soccer

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team will begin their 2023 campaign as they travel to Nashville on Thursday to take on Trevecca Nazarene at 6 p.m. prior to the home-opener on Sunday at 1 p.m. against Tusculum.
 
James Ballamy is at the helm of the women's soccer program for his fourth season as head coach. The Chargers are coming off a 2022 season that resulted in a 5-7-5 overall record and a 4-5-4 mark in GSC play.
 
Carmen Endicott led all UAH returners with fourteen points on seven goals last season, followed by Maialen Mera Torres with twelve points on five goals and two assists. 
 
Last season, the Chargers posted a 0.473 shots on goal percentage on 187 shots. Endicott and Jayla Gillespie led UAH in shots on goal with 20 and 18, respectively.
 
The Trojans begin the new season after a 9-6-4 finish in 2022. UAH holds an all-time record of  1-1-1 against Trevecca Nazarene.

The Chargers will host 10 matches at home this season beginning with Sunday's match.

Admission for Sunday's match – and to all regular season events at Charger Park – is free courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.
