BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly women's soccer award winners, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Gracie Gustafson as GSC Player of the Week.
 
This is the first GSC Player of the Week award for Gustafson, and she is the first Charger from women's soccer to win a weekly honor from the GSC this season.
 
A native of Grenada, Mississippi, Gustafson guided the Chargers to a three-point weekend in the Peach State, with a goal in a 2-1 victory over Valdosta State on Friday and another tally in a 3-2 setback at West Georgia.
 
Gustafson now ranks second on the team with six points from three goals on the 2023 campaign.
 
UAH looks ahead to two matches at home this weekend against AUM on Friday at 5 p.m. and Montevallo on Sunday at 1 p.m.
