BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly men's cross country award winners, and UAH swept both honors as Sam Wilhelm earned GSC Runner of the Week and Noah George garnered GSC Freshman of the Week.
 
This is Wilhelm's third career GSC Runner of the week honor, while George collects his first weekly award from the conference.
 
Wilhelm led the Chargers to fourth place at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree this past Saturday with a 15th-place time of 24:59.5. He was the second-highest placing Division II runner in the race.
 
George was also a key contributor to UAH's team standing with a clocking of 26:22.2 for 47th overall in the field. He was the fifth-highest placing freshman in the race.
 
UAH looks ahead to the 2023 UAH Chargers Invitational at John Hunt Park next Saturday, Oct. 7.
