Men's Basketball Outpaced by West Florida on Saturday

HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team dropped a Gulf South Conference matchup to West Florida at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall by a final score of 83-72 on Saturday afternoon. UAH slides to 11-5 (9-3 GSC), while UWF improves to 5-10 (3-8 GSC).
 
Tommy Murr led the way for the Chargers offense in the Sunday contest with 26 points, as he was 9-for-15 from the field and 4-for-7 from behind the three point line. He also added a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line, five rebounds and four assists across 34 minutes.
 
UAH had a total of three players in double-figure scoring, with Luke Burnett and Jack Kostel joining Murr with 12 points each.
 
Tanner Shulman and Auston Leslie led the Chargers in rebounds with each recording seven boards.
 
Overall on Saturday, the Chargers shot 38.1 percent (24-63) and 31.3 percent (10-32) on three-pointers. UAH held the edge over UWF in second chance points (18-12).
 
UAH resumes play next weekend when they play host to Auburn Montgomery on Saturday afternoon.
