MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team won its sixth conference game with a 70-69 victory at Montevallo on Wednesday evening. UAH improves to 7-10 (6-8 GSC), while UM slides to 11-7 (9-6 GSC).
 
Sophomore Bellah Machen matched her career-high as she led the Chargers in the victory with 23 points on a career-best seven made three-pointers. This is the third time this season that Machen has hit her career-best scoring mark of 23 points. She rates second on the team with 9.6 points per game this season.
Freshman Bella White turned in a double-double performance with 14 points and 17 rebounds on the night and she also dished out a team-best five assists to help guide the UAH offense. White is the Chargers leading rebounder on the season, averaging 7.3 boards per game.
 
Machen's seven made three-pointers are the second highest single game mark in the GSC this season while White's 17 rebounds are also the second highest single game mark across the league.
 
UAH will next travel to Livingston, Ala. for a matchup with West Alabama on Saturday. The Chargers won the first meeting between the two sides this season by a 69-59 score at Spragins Hall in December.
