HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team won a Gulf South Conference matchup against Montevallo with a final score of 86-70 on Wednesday evening. UAH improved to 13-5 (11-3 GSC), while Montevallo falls to 7-12 (6-9 GSC).

The Charger offense was led by
Luke Burnett in Wednesday's action as the junior put up 29 points on a 9-for-13 showing from behind the three point line. Burnett's nine threes is his second highest career mark and ties the highest mark in the GSC this season.Â
With his performance, the Knoxville, Tennessee, native moves into 13th in scoring all-time for UAH, 11 points behind Primoz Samardija for 12th all-time.

UAH had a total of three players in double-figure scoring, with
Tommy Murr (19 points, 7-11 FG) and
Daniel Saylor (11 points, 5-7 FG) joining Burnett.

Jack Kostel led the Chargers in assists, tallying a season-high of eight to go along with seven points for the game.
Saylor contributed seven rebounds and two blocks to the winning effort over the Falcons.

Overall on Saturday, the Chargers shot 50.8 percent (31-61) and 42.6 percent (20-47) on three-pointers. UAH held a sizable edge over Montevallo in bench points (27-5).

UAH resumes play this weekend when they travel to Livingston, Alabama, on Saturday afternoon for a matchup against West Alabama.
