HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's soccer team is set to host a pair of Gulf South Conference opponents this weekend as they welcome Christian Brothers (0-8, 0-4 GSC) at 5:00 pm on Friday and Union (3-2-2, 2-0-2 GSC) at 1:00 pm.

UAH is 4-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 in GSC play and returns to the pitch after they posted their first six-point weekend on the road since 2014 last weekend with 3-2 wins over Valdosta State and Auburn Montgomery.

Admission to all regular season events at Charger Park is free again this season, courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.

Jayla Gillespie had a pair of goals and an assist in the undefeated road weekend to garner GSC Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career. Michella Tortelli earned GSC Freshman of the Week after she netted a goal in both of last weekend's games.

The Charger defense ranks in the top four of the GSC in goals against (10) and goals against average (1.11), while the UAH attack has put up eight goals in their past four matches. 

Christian Brothers visits Huntsville having lost their last eight matches. The Chargers are 9-18-5 all-time against the Bucs and tied the 2023 matchup against CBU 2-2. 

Against Union, UAH has a 14-4 all-time record with the last road win by the Bulldogs coming in 2017 at Charger Park. Prior to a 1-0 defeat in 2023, the Chargers had won five straight against Union. 

Following Saturday's match, the Chargers will have a weekend road trip to Mississippi next week as they will visit Delta State and Mississippi College.
