MEMPHIS | The UAH volleyball team swept their second straight Gulf South Conference opponent of the week as they defeated Christian Brothers 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-14).
The Chargers elevated to 16-2 (7-1 GSC) with the victory, as the Bucs dropped to 5-11 (1-5 GSC). The Blue & White have yet to drop a set in a GSC road contest this season.
UAH led wire-to-wire in all three sets and outperformed the Bucs in hitting percentage .247 to .117 along with a six to two advantage in service aces.
Nine different Chargers recorded kills in Friday evening's match as
Caroline Moyer recorded eight kills on a .438 hitting percentage to highlight the UAH attack.
Autumn Mayes had an all-around performance as she totaled 10 digs, nine kills and four service aces to lead the Chargers in all three categories.
Defensively, UAH put up 11 blocks in a very active night at the net as
Mary Grace Bundrant led the team in denials with one solo block and five block assists.
Kayla Ward notched one solo block and four block assists.
The Chargers head to Montevallo, Ala. on Tuesday evening for another GSC matchup against Montevallo.
