MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The UAH volleyball team continued their road dominance in Gulf South Conference action on Friday evening with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-16) sweep of Auburn Montgomery at the AUM Athletics Complex.
The Chargers moved to 18-2 (9-1 GSC) with the victory, while the Warhawks dropped to 5-14 (2-8 GSC). The sweep secured the 12th straight win away from Spragins Hall for UAH, with their six true road wins all being 3-0 victories.
UAH posted their second highest hitting percentage of the season as a team against the Warhawks in the win at .366 and their highest kill total in a three-set match this season (54 kills).
The Blue & White recorded their second highest assist total of the year as
Savannah Rutledge led the team with 25 and
Kelsey Gasaway contributed 14 assists.
Autumn Mayes led the team in kills with 16 in the match with an efficient .536 hitting percentage.
Caroline Moyer and
Mary Grace Bundrant joined Mayes with double digit kills, as Moyer totaled 11 and Bundrant had 10.
Tatiana Bonilla had 13 digs to lead UAH and five different Chargers got involved in blocks.
Next up, UAH heads to Clinton, Miss. to take on Mississippi College on Tuesday evening.
