CLINTON, Miss. | The No. 14 UAH men's cross country team earned second at the 2024 Gulf South Conference Men's Cross Country Championships on Saturday at the Choctaw Trails with
Sam Wilhelm winning the 8k competition for the second year in a row.

Wilhelm paced the field at a time of 23:52.90 for first place overall, as his clocking on Saturday was the second-fastest in program history at the GSC Championships.

He was joined as a First Team All-GSC performer by
Nathan Knox and
Noah George who both notched top-10 times in the 8k race, with Knox finishing fifth at 24:14.6 and George coming in eighth at 24:20.9.

This was the first time since UAH had at least three runners earn First Team All-GSC since the 2021 campaign.

The Chargers also featured six more runners in the top 35 on Saturday, including
Nate Pohlsander (21st, 25:04.8),
Jonah Frey (23rd, 25:05.2),
Dakota Frank (24th, 25:08.7),
Conner Patterson (26th, 25:12.8),
Will Anglea (29th, 25:36.4) and
Cole Robinson (31st, 25:42.7).
