CLINTON, Miss. | The UAH women's cross country team earned a second-place team finish at the 2024 Gulf South Conference Championships on Saturday morning at the Choctaw Trails with a total of four All-GSC performers.

In the first-ever 6k race in GSC Championships history, UAH was led by
Aylin Vega in 12th overall at a time of 22:45.8, followed closely by
Amelia Brady in 13th at 22:47.3 clocking.

Tamsyn Gibbs posted a 15th place time of 22:53.30, while
Lucy Barker rounded out the Chargers Second Team All-GSC performances in 19th at 23:26.9.

This is the second time in the last three season UAH has accrued four or more All-GSC honorees.

UAH additionally had four more runners in the top 30 at the conference meet, including
Abby Weist (21st, 23:33.1),
Sophia Knox (24th, 23:51.2),
Autumn Betts (28th, 24:06.1), and
Holly Sillivant (30th, 24:14.2).

The Chargers racing roster on Saturday also featured
Elizabeth Cain (38th, 24:33.7) and
Anna Katherine Hopkins (40th, 24:36.1).

UAH now sets its sights on the NCAA postseason with the 2024 NCAA South Region Cross Country Championships in Huntsville, Alabama, at John Hunt Park on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 9. More information on the South Regional.
