HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team dropped a home matchup against West Florida on Saturday afternoon 3-1 (20-25, 18-25, 25-23, 23-25).
The Chargers dropped to 14-2 (5-1 GSC) with the loss, while the Argos improved to 10-5 (5-0 GSC).Â
UAH held an 18-15 lead in the first set before West Florida went on a 10-2 run to close out the set. The fourth set was back and forth through its entirety as UAH had a 23-21 lead late in the set, but the Argos charged back to score four unanswered to close out the match.
Autumn Mayes led the Charger offense with 17 kills on a .390 hitting percentage as
Caroline Moyer contributed 10 kills on a .216 hitting percentage.
Savannah Rutledge had 26 assists to bring her weekend total to 58 in the category.Â
UAH had nine blocks, with
Mary Grace Bundrant leading the way with 5, while
Kayla Ward, Mayes, and Moyer each contributed to three Charger blocks.
The Chargers will head to Jackson, Tenn. on Thursday to take on Union.Â
