Box Score HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's soccer played to a 2-2 tie with visiting Spring Hill on Friday night at Charger Park in Gulf South Conference action. UAH's record now stands at 5-6-3 (4-3-3 GSC), while SHC moves to 6-7-3 (3-5-3 GSC).

The Chargers scored first in the conference matchup with a 31st-minute goal by
Sabrina Da Silva off an assist from
Maialen Mera. Da Silva records her fourth of the season, while Mera notches her team-best fourth assist of 2024.

Spring Hill pulled ahead of UAH in the second half, scoring goals in the 46th and 59th minutes. However, UAH evened the contest at 2-2 on a penalty kick goal by
Jayla Gillespie in the 79th minute. Both sides went scoreless for the remainder to bring the game to its 2-2 final score.

Gillespie's goal was her fifth of the 2024 campaign, as she continues to lead the UAH offense this season with 12 points thanks to an additional two assists.

Ardis Haskell and
Karli Newton both played 45 minutes in goal for the Chargers, with Haskell posting a scoreless first half and notching a team-best three saves.

UAH compiled a total of seven shots on goal against Spring Hill, led by Da Silva and
Katey Ann Klingel with two shots on target apiece.

Emily Labus was the lone field player to play the full 90 minutes on Friday night.
