HUNTSVILLE | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly men's basketball award winners on Tuesday, and
Tommy Murr was named GSC Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.
This is Murr's third career GSC Player of the Week award.
The Athens, Alabama, native led the Chargers offense over the past week, averaging 25 points per game on 16-29 shooting from the field, including a 4-9 mark from behind the arc. The senior also added six assists in each game, and leads the team in the category with just over five assists per game.
Murr has continued his steadiness at the free throw line where he ranks 15th in the country with a 96.88 percent clip at the line on 32 attempts.
UAH kicks off GSC play tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm when they face off with Trevecca Nazarene in the conference opener.
