HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team is playing host to a pair of Gulf South Conference opponents in Spragins Hall on Friday and Saturday when they welcome in Union and Christian Brothers. 

The Chargers will take on Union (8-17, 6-10 GSC) on Friday at 6:00 pm, with CBU (7-19, 3-13 GSC) visiting on Saturday at 2 pm.

The Blue & White return to the court with a 21-5 record overall and a 12-4 GSC record after dropping a pair of matches this past weekend on the road against the top team in the GSC, West Florida and third place Valdosta State. 

UAH ranks inside the top five in the GSC in nearly all major categories and ranks first in blocks per set, with a 2.71 blocks per set average on a total of 247 blocks. Kayla Ward and Mary Grace Bundrant rank first and second in the conference in blocks per set at 1.26 and 1.15 denials per set, respectively.

UAH defeated both Union and CBU in 3-0 sweeps earlier this season on the road. The Chargers own a 15-6 all-time record against the Bulldogs and a 38-21 record against the Bucs. 

The Chargers will wrap up their regular season next weekend when they host another duo of GSC opponents, Montevallo and Auburn Montgomery.
