HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's basketball returned to Kelly Court at Spragins Hall on Thursday night with an 81-54 victory over visiting Mississippi College in Gulf south Conference action. UAH improves to 8-2 (4-1 GSC), while MC slides to 7-4 (3-2 GSC).

The Chargers amassed a 22-point lead in the first half to pace the Choctaws 42-20 at the break, as UAH went on to outpaced MC 39-34 in the second half to win it 81-54 on Thursday.

Senior
Haley Nichols led the Chargers offense overall in the drubbing of the Choctaws with a team-high 18 points as she went 5-for-7 from the field and a perfect 8-for-8 on free throws. Nichols also added three rebounds and three assists across an efficient 20 minutes on the floor.

Lili Wilken had a stellar overall performance for the Blue & White, with the junior posting 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists and one steal.
Alexis Woods and
Millie Brown rounded out UAH's double-digit scorers with 15 points apiece.

Woods went 7-for-10 from the field, while Brown sank a team-high five three-pointers against the Choctaws.

Bella White also had a successful night on the floor with a team-best 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals in her 30 minutes of action.

UAH shot 50.9 percent (29-57) from the field and 29.6 percent (8-27) on three-pointers, while limiting MC to 38.0 percent (19-50) from the floor for the contest. The Chargers also outpaced the Choctaws in points off turnovers (15-6), points in the paint (36-20) and second chance points (16-5).

This is the third time in GSC play that UAH has defeated its opponent by 20 points or more.
