No. 19 Men's Basketball Rolls Against Toppers on Monday Night

HUNTSVILLE | The No. 19 UAH men's basketball team won their final non-conference regular season game of the season on Monday evening as they defeated Blue Mountain Christian 95-62 at Kelly Court in Spragins Hall.

The Chargers improved to 6-1 overall with the victory, while the game represented an exhibition for the Toppers. UAH's 95 points marks their highest point total in regulation this season, only being outdone by a 104 point performance earlier this season in overtime against then-No. 2 Nova Southeastern.

UAH led wire-to-wire in the game, with their largest lead reaching 40 points as they led 92-52 at the 5:11 mark in the second half. The Chargers outmuscled the Toppers with a 48-to-34 points in the paint advantage in the game.

Daniel Saylor paced the Charger offense with 16 points and tacked on three blocks and seven rebounds in just 16 minutes of play. Luke Burnett had 14 points on 4-12 from the field, all three point attempts. Auston Leslie had a 4-4 performance from the field with 10 points on five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Blake Campbell tallied 12 points on 5-7 shooting with six assists to lead the team in the category in 18 minutes.

UAH kicks off their home conference schedule with a game against Valdosta State on Saturday evening at 4 pm before hosting West Florida on Monday.
