BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly softball award winners on Tuesday, and the UAH softball team was represented by Katie Bracken as GSC Pitcher of the Week.
 
Bracken has now started the 2024 campaign with back-to-back GSC Pitcher of the Week awards.
 
A native of Decatur, Alabama, Bracken tossed two complete games with two earned runs allowed over 10.0 innings with 16 strikeouts.
 
She currently boasts a 0.41 ERA over 34.0 innings to begin her sophomore campaign, as she ranks first in NCAA Division II with five complete games and is 36th in earned run average.
 
Moreover, her 39 strikeouts pace the GSC and are fourth nationally.
 
Bracken and the rest of the Chargers look ahead to the start of GSC play this weekend at Mississippi College on Saturday and Sunday.
