Baseball Drops Deciding Game Three to Mississippi College on Saturday

CLINTON, Miss. | The UAH baseball team fell in the final game of a three-game tilt at Mississippi College on Saturday afternoon in a 7-4 loss. The Chargers are now 7-4 (1-2 GSC) while the Choctaws are 7-4 (2-1 GSC).

UAH fell behind 4-0 in the first three innings of the game before they tallied three runs in the fourth behind opportunistic baserunning and a RBI single by Caleb Mahan.

Mahan led the team in hits with three for the day, while Ramie Harrison had two hits of his own. Austin Reed contributed one RBI while Mahan and Harrison tallied one apiece.

Hunter Tillman swiped one bag in the game and now has five steals on the season without a caught stealing.

On the mound, Landon Singley got the start, while Cole Loftis, Connor Edwards, Trey Wright, and Tanner Giles each made relief appearances. Edwards, Wright, and Giles each recorded 1.0 innings pitched and gave up just three hits combined and no earned runs.

The Chargers will face off with Auburn Montgomery in a non-conference midweek matchup on Tuesday before hosting Truman State for a three-game series next weekend.
