HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team returned home with an 83-76 victory at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall over visiting Union on Thursday night in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 16-9 (14-7 GSC), while UU slides to 12-13 (9-12 GSC).

Jack Kostel had a career-best performance in the victory on Thursday with 36 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the floor to go along with six rebounds and a team-high five assists. Kostel excelled from the free throw line, going a perfect 11-for-11 from the charity stripe.

His 36 points are the most scored by a Charger over the past two seasons.

Three Chargers joined Kostel in double-figure scoring in the win, including
Tommy Murr with 14 points,
Luke Burnett with 11 and
Daniel Saylor with 10.

Saylor additionally pulled down a team-high nine rebounds as he nearly notched a double-double.

The Chargers recorded a total of 15 steals as a team, guided by Burnett's four swipes. Murr and Kostel both added three steals to rate second on the squad defensively.
