HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team capped off its regular season home schedule on Saturday with an 89-83 victory over visiting Christian Brothers on Senior Day at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 17-9 (15-7 GSC), while CBU slides to 16-9 (14-8 GSC).

The Chargers are now alone in third in the GSC standings with two games left in the regular season on the road next week, as the top four seeds in the conference tournament will host a quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday, March 5.

UAH's offense featured a heavily balanced attack with five players scoring in double-figures on Saturday, led by
Luke Burnett with 19 points. Burnett's performance was buoyed by a 5-of-11 mark on three-pointers.

Tommy Murr rated second on the Chargers offense with 17 points to go along with six assists and three rebounds.

Jack Kostel followed up his career-best performance on Thursday with a double-double against the Bucs, posting 12 points and 10 assists to go along with five rebounds and three steals.

Tanner Shulman and
Daniel Saylor also notched 12 points apiece in the win, with Saylor leading the team with six rebounds.

UAH shot 50.8 percent (33-65) from the field and 46.9 percent (15-32) on three-pointers, while holding CBU to 48.6 percent (35-72) on field goals.

The Chargers wrap up the 2023-24 regular season slate at West Florida next Thursday and Valdosta State next Saturday.
