PENSACOLA, Fla. | The UAH men's basketball team rises to a tie for second in the Gulf South Conference standings following an 83-78 victory at West Florida on Thursday night. UAH improves to 18-9 (16-7 GSC), while UWF slides to 7-20 (5-18 GSC).

Jack Kostel had another stellar offensive display in Thursday night's contest with a team-high 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the floor to go along with five assists, two steals and three rebounds.

The Dacula, Georgia, native additionally played a game-high 37 minutes on Thursday as he recorded his fourth 20-plus point game this season.

Tommy Murr also eclipsed 20 points in the win at West Florida with a 23-point performance that included an 8-of-16 showing from the floor and a 4-for-10 mark on three-pointers. He also pulled down five rebounds and added two assists.

Daniel Saylor neared double-double territory against the Argos, notching nine points and a team-best eight rebounds.
