Women's Basketball Drops Thursday Contest at Spragins to No. 6 Union

HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's basketball team dropped Thursday evening's Gulf South Conference matchup at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall to No. 6 Union by a final score of 92-68. UAH slides to 8-16 (7-14 GSC), while UU improves to 25-2 (19-2 GSC).
 
UAH's offense was guided by Bellah Machen with 16 points over 33 minutes of work on Thursday. She also added three rebounds and one assist while posting her 12th game with 10 points or more this season.
 
Machen was joined in double-figure scoring by Ellen Fleming who posted 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor that included a 2-for-4 mark on three-pointers.
 
Bella White led the way for the Chargers on the boards with a team-high 10 rebounds to go along with eight points, three assists and one steal. She has recorded 10 rebounds or more three times in her freshman campaign.
 
The Chargers are back in action with the final home game of the season on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Christian Brothers. The UAH women's basketball program will honor seniors Ikia Elam and Olivia Howard prior to tip-off.
